Stumbled across this story (not sure how I missed it back in July when it was written), and was reminded of one of Paul’s favorite cars.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

The story mentions three of the stolen cars were E36 M3 lightweights.

He loved the things, and actually had 7 of them.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Would it be so bad for the car to make a cameo in the movie?

AM: What’s in the Walker garage?
PW: A ’67 Nova that Year One built, a ’64 Impala, a ’64 Malibu, a ’64 Chevelle two-door wagon, a ’64 Nova wagon, a ’67 Nova wagon.

Wow, never thought he was so much of a muscle car fan.

any reason for this 64 and 67 model-year love?

Learned he had a Crown Vic... As if there was any doubt he was one of us.

It’s funny. You read about the car collections of some of these “car guy” celebrities and there’s not a single car there I’d even pause to look at. It’s like they asked their publicist what would resonate most with their fanbase and just sent out a shopping list.

And then you see or read about the stuff guys like Paul have / had in their garage - stuff your retired neighbor or father-in-law might have in his garage, or maybe even have one yourself - and there’s no doubt whether it was authentic or not.

And his favorite might interest you in particular...

Exactly. He was for real. A 2002 Touring!! Agh!! Paul was my generation’s James Dean, or Steve McQueen. A no-shit gearhead who happened to be an actor.
